We have decided to move Boushey’s blog to: bousheyrattie.tumblr.com
This will allow us to upload more frequent about Boo and his busy life 🙂
Hope you guys continue to follow us on the new blog!!
2 weeks ago we just had a new member in our office. He is an 8-week old Bulldog-Minpin puppy. His name? Gustavo, aka Gus.
Normally Boo was not super excited about other dogs, but he LOVES Gus. He wagged his tail like crazy when he met Gus. He stopped and sniffed every time he walked pass the puppy’s desk. It was pretty adorable to see Boo being excited about another dog 🙂
This week, Boo just got a hold of Gus’ toy, a bright orange doll, and he’s so crazy about it. But don’t worry, Gus also got a chance to play with Boo’s toy, Mr. Raccoon, as well. They both seemed to enjoy each other’s toy as seen in the video. Boo enjoyed the orange Toy so much that I was worried he’s gonna destroy it. So, at the end of the day, we just went to Mudbay and got one for him. Unfortunately he can’t have this at work, otherwise everyone would have to listen to squeaky sound all day long 😀
Toys exchange
Boo finally has his own orange doll
Last week we went to San juan island for a camping trip. We all had lots of fun and relaxing time. After 3 camping trips, Boo is now a pro camping dog!
As always, people (especially little kids) loved Boo and would like to pet him. Boo had absolutely no problem with that 🙂  We did lots of trail walking along the beach and in the forest. What a wonderful time.
Yesterday we had an event called “doggie day” at my office. Basically, lots of companies came here to give free treats and services, like pet grooming from REX, Photos from rovers.com , and agility activities from K9 fun.
Boo loved everything at the event, except nail clipping service. The groomer was very nice and did try a couple times to get his nails clipped, but Boo totally didn’t love this idea, so we finally just had to give up.
Other than that, Boo enjoyed lots of treats and fun activities as you can see in the pics!!
Last week, Aim went to a TTouch seminar. She learnt about TTouch benefits as well as massaging techniques. Unfortunately I couldn’t join, but I’ve heard that Boo and Aim had a great time! They met New Rattitude staffs as well as many other senior dogs and their parents.
When she came home, she immediately wrapped up Boo and myself! It actually felt really nice to be wrapped 🙂 Aim has also been giving Boo massage as seen in the video below.
Time flies and it’s hard to believe that it’s already been a year since Boo arrived at our home!
Friday night, June 29th 2012, was when Julee and Brett (Boo’s foster parents) brought Boo to us. Julee and Brett not only gave us great advice, they also gave us toys, blankets, and treats for Boo, setting us up for success being new pet parents 🙂
First night at our house was not easy for Boo. It was pretty rainy and Boo just didn’t wanna go potty. After Julee left, Boo didn’t know what to do and his tail was tucked almost all the time. You can definitely saw those reactions in the video below.
One year has flew by, and today is Boushey’s first birthday at our home. What’s the present for the birthday boy? What could be better for this hot weather than homemade, rattie-friendly ice-cream! You can see from the video how much he loved it 🙂
Cheers for many many years to come, Mr. Boushey!!
First day at our home…
Today’s birthday ice-cream
No, we’re not talking about a sausage sitting in between buns. We’re actually referring to a dog that felt really HOT because of 80+ degrees in Seattle.
The weather was so hot that Boo didn’t even wanna take a walk this weekend. Yesterday, Boo took a walk for about 30 minutes, and then decided to lay down on grass that he found on the sidewalk! We encouraged him to continue walking but he seemed to be super tired, so I carried him on the way back home. Similar thing happened today at Magnuson Park.
Even though the weather was really hot, we all still had lots of fun as usual 🙂 We did some training (Leave it, Stay, etc) and Boo did some ball fetching, his favorite activity.
Some training today
Boo has just started to learn the newest trick, which is balancing himself on a rubber disc. Eventually, this will be a good exercise for him.
Our final goal is to have him standing with 4 legs on the disc. So far, he is able to stand with 3 legs on it.
Towards the end of the video, Boo offered a couple of unexpected behavior, like sitting on the ball and hi-five.
More videos to come 🙂
After 2 years of studying and working fulltime, finally I graduated! That means Boo will even have more time to dog parks and do fun stuff with us 😀
Of course, Boo didn’t miss a chance to join graduation ceremony at Communication department at UW. It was a nice and sunny day. Aim told me that Boo was nervous during the ceremony (maybe because of the amount of people there). However, at the end of the ceremony, people came to pet him and that made him felt happier 🙂
